Explicit expressions are obtained for the mathcing polynomials of genera- lized polyphenylene and generalized conjugated cyclic chain. In particular

for any integer n≥0

explicit expressions of matching polynomials of polyphenylene Mn

pentagonal chain Cn and benzenoid chain Bn

for which Farrell et al have obtained only the expressions up to n =7 [3]
