we have done some prcliminary research on protoros during the investingation of freshwater plankton in Urumqi. To understand the protozos in Urumqi systematicly
we gathered water samplesfrom nine specimen placea dated from May to July 1994. Through the examination we confirmed 109 specieswhich belong .to six classes
the classes are following:phytomastigophorea
Rhizopodes
Actinopodes
oligohy menophora
kine to fragminophora adn polyhymenophora.Meanwhile
we furtherly analyzed the main ecological factors and the distribution characters of plankton protonoa in Urumqi area.
