It is an effective way to protect optical devices from intense radiation by optical limiter. The limitersbased on thermal effect induced by linear absorption in materials have been studied under the condition of cwlaser. The influences of nonlinear absorption on limiter are discussed. The theoretical analysis of optical characteristics in these limiters can make

grounds for practice use.
