This paper introduces recent progress in method of applying fluorescence energy transfer system to the analytic test of DNA
the energy transfer of Acridine orange (AO) Safranine (ST) System is analyzed through experiments
proving the possibility of quantatively testing DNA with the fluorescene probe of this system
critical ranges of AO-ST before and after the addition of DNA are calculated respectively
according to Forster theory of energy transfer
thus to some extent illustrating the influence of DNA on AO ST fluoresence quenching
