The method of space-time spectral analyses is an effective means that can analyse the developing features of the actual atmospheric circulation

examine and improve the model of atmospheric circula tion. Furtherly

it can give us the objective and quantitative index number for showing atmos pheric ctr culation. By means of the method

the paper compares with analyzing features of various atmospheric fluctuations on 500 hPa as the plenty or deficiency of spring streamflow in north Xinjiang Region

and obtains some meaningful information. It not only reveals a possible mechanism through which the spring discharge of north Xinjiang region is effected

but also provides the basis for furth knowledge about the developing regulaties of atmospheric movement.
