Malate dehydrogenase(EC. 1. 1. 1. 37) was isolated from Haloxylin
ammodendron and purified 104 folds by means of differential centrifugation .ammonium sulfate fractionation chromatography of DEAEcellulose and blue sepharoes CL-6B. The Isoelectric Point was 5. 7 and optium pH 7. 1 .apparent Km values for oxaloacetic acid and NADH were 80 μm and 190 μm respectively. The molecular weight of the enzyme was in the neighborhood of 67 00O by gel filtration and of 33 000 by SDS-PGA electrophoresis
These showed that the enzyme is composed of two same subunits. The heat inactivation kinetics shows that the enzyme is stable below 55℃.
