Anatomic studies and Cytological observations of the floral nectaries in Trifolium repens were studiedwith light and scanning electron microscopy. The nectary of Trifolium repens was located at the base of filaments
forming a zone whose base was continned to receptacle
belonging to an annular receptacular/staminalnectary. A nectary composed epidermis and nectariferous tissue and was derived from its own initials duringthe development of the flower. The cuticula and modified stomata are present in epidermal layer. It is concluded that the pre-nectar was sythesised in nectariferous and was exuded from the modified stonmata.
