This article analyzed the end forms of Uyghur sentence
and studied the sentence boundary detection rules
presented the method of sentence breaking
then designed Uyghur sentence boundary detection algorithm and program. After testing the algorithm on the Uyghur labeled sentence corpora
we achieved 98.7% accuracy. The Uyghur sentence boundary detection algorithm is of importance to the POS tagging system
