In this paper

we discuss the exponential stability of the zero solutions of Volterra integrodifferential equations (1) and the large scale system which can be decomposed into the form (12). By using the variation-of-constants formula and the estimation of inequality

we obtained the sufficient conditions to guarantee the exponential stabilities of the systems (1) and (12). These conditions can be checked and applied easily.
