To ensure the standardized, rational, secure, and efficient use of generative artificial intelligence tools and actively address the potential risks and ethical challenges they may pose to academic research, our journal hereby issues the following guidelines on the use of generative artificial intelligence tools, in accordance with the spirit of documents such as Several Opinions on Further Strengthening the Construction of Research Integrity issued by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the General Office of the State Council (Document No. 23 [2018]), and Academic Publishing Norms - Definition of Academic Misconduct in Journals (CY/T 1742019), as well as referencing the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Our journal does not accept manuscripts co-authored by generative artificial intelligence tools. All authors must be natural persons, and the original content and core viewpoints of the manuscript must be completed by the researchers themselves.

2. Our journal supports the application of generative artificial intelligence tools in academic research, but their use is limited to auxiliary, non-core aspects such as language polishing, literature retrieval, data organization and analysis, and idea generation, and should adhere to prevailing ethical and academic norms regarding artificial intelligence.

3. Our journal does not accept submissions that involve the following scenarios: using generative artificial intelligence tools to directly generate the research framework, main content, and core viewpoints of the manuscript; rewriting existing research results, fabricating literature content and data, etc., through generative artificial intelligence tools; directly generating images using generative artificial intelligence tools; fabricating information about the use of generative artificial intelligence tools or concealing such use; including literature that lists generative artificial intelligence tools as authors in the references; or any other scenarios that violate ethical or academic norms regarding artificial intelligence.

4. If a manuscript involves the use of generative artificial intelligence tools for writing assistance, authors must provide a written explanation when submitting the manuscript, including but not limited to: (i) the name, developer, version, and other information of the generative artificial intelligence tool used; (ii) the purpose of using the generative artificial intelligence tool in the preparation of the paper, with generated content clearly marked in the text; (iii) records of the use of the generative artificial intelligence tools, including a comparison between the original prompts and the generated outputs; (iv) whether the accuracy and authenticity of the content generated by artificial intelligence (including viewpoints, data representations, and materials) have been cross-verified; if the content is sourced from third parties, whether permission has been obtained from the third parties and appropriate acknowledgments and explanations have been provided in the text. Authors are responsible for the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in their manuscripts and bear corresponding legal and ethical responsibilities.

5. Reviewers must independently formulate their review comments and are not allowed to use generative artificial intelligence tools to directly generate review comments or assist in the review process. Violations will result in the disqualification of the reviewer.

6. Our journal reserves the right to continuously track and review the use of generative artificial intelligence tools in submissions, reviews, and published articles through a combination of technical detection and manual review. If authors or reviewers are found to have concealed or provided inaccurate information regarding the use of generative artificial intelligence tools, our journal has the right to take measures such as rejecting the manuscript, retracting the published article, and notifying the authors or reviewers institution.

7. This statement will be adjusted and updated accordingly in response to developments in generative artificial intelligence tools.

8. This statement takes effect immediately, and any matters not covered herein shall be interpreted by the Editorial Department of our journal.
