Open Access

Starting from 2026, Journal of Xinjiang University(Natural Science Edition in Chinese and English) will transition into an open-access journal. After this transition, all papers published will be immediately and permanently available for free reading and downloading on our journal’s website. Open access extends retroactively to papers published since 1975; All published papers can be freely read and downloaded on our journal’s website, with the rights reserved by the Editorial Department of Journal of Xinjiang University(Natural Science Edition in Chinese and English).

Peer Review

All manuscripts are initially evaluated by the Editorial Department of Journal of Xinjiang University(Natural Science Edition in Chinese and English), and then sent to at least two peer reviewers with specialized expertise in the relevant field (using a double-blind review system). The review process takes no more than 15 days, focusing on providing an objective, scientific, and comprehensive evaluation of the manuscript’s innovation, logical coherence, and reproducibility. “compliance with CPC and China’s policies” and “absence of ideological issues” are mandatory evaluation criteria. Peer reviews serve as an important reference for the secondary review, and the final decision on whether a paper can be published is made by the editor-in-chief.

Journal of Xinjiang University(Natural Science Edition in Chinese and English) adopts a Creative Commons license, allowing third-party users to share published papers under the terms of Attribution (BY)-Non Commercial (NC)-No Derivatives (ND) (CC BY-NC-ND). This means third parties are permitted to reproduce, distribute, exhibit, perform, display, broadcast, or communicate the papers to the public via information networks, provided that they retain the author’s attribution, limit their use to non-commercial purposes, and refrain from creating derivative works. Author Rights

The copyright of the paper belongs to the authors, and the authors assume full responsibility for the content. Upon acceptance of the manuscript, the authors are required to sign a “Paper Copyright Transfer Authorization Agreement” with the Editorial Department of Journal of Xinjiang University(Natural Science Edition in Chinese and English), voluntarily transferring the following rights to the Editorial Department of Journal of Xinjiang University(Natural Science Edition in Chinese and English) for the paper (including but not limited to the title, main text, abstract, figures, dynamic images, data, and all other independently extractable elements of the work): the rights of reproduction, distribution, compilation, information network dissemination, translation, adaptation, projection, and any other transferable rights associated with the paper. The authors agree that the paper will be used under the CC BY-NC-ND license after publication.

Publication Fees

Adhering to the principle of prioritizing social benefits, no fees are charged at any stage from submission to publication.
