In this paper mathematical model for unsaturated soil water movement under evaporation conditions inUrumqi district has been established on the basis of actual son-water characteristic carve
kydraulic conductivity and soil diffusivity water balance stations in Wulabai and the station rear bortilizer works as well as Chanjicomprehensive groundwater experiment station in Xinjiang. Tie model has been tested and verified by field data. The results obtained by numerical madal generally are in good agrement with measured field data. This shows that the model can be used to pridict soil-water moisture under evaporation conditions.
