There are 96 species and subspecies of birds in Ali prefecture of the Tibet Autonomous Region

belonging to 15 orders

27 families and Oenanthe oenantne (Linne) is a new record in the Tibet. Among the birds

there are 36 species (38%) belonging to highland type; 22 species. (23%) bclonging to central Asia type; 20 species (21%) belonging to widespread type; 16 species (17%) belonging to north type; 1 specie (1%) belonging to northeast type. The prefecture has six kinds of ecogeographial environments

and forms appropriate ecogeographical groups.
