Abstract
The chelates of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-benzoylpyrazolone-5 (keto form) (HPMBP)with Cr(Ⅲ)
Fe(Ⅲ)
Co(Ⅱ) and Ni(Ⅱ) have now been synthesised. The struc-ture and properties of the chelates formed have been characterized by physico-che-mical techniques

elemental analysis
IR. NMR. MS. TG-DTA and conductancemeasurements
etc. The ligand used have been found to transfer from the keto forminto the enolic form during the chelations.
