Abstract
Graft copolymerization of acrylonitrile (AN) onto Xinjiang fine wool has been investigated in aqueous medium by using gamma irradiation from 2×1015 Bq60Co source as means of initiation. Graft copolymerization was carried out by the mutual irradiation method in limited air. Percent grafting was determined as function of total dose
dose rate and concentration of monomer. Maximum percent grafting occurred in limited air at a total dose of 1.5×104 Gy. Graft copolymers were characterizated with IR spectrum
