This paper studied the enviromental change sequences of Aibi Lake and Balikun Lake in Xinjiang over 200 yearn

and found that there had been apparent stages

sudden changes and Periods in environmental changes in the two lakes. We also found that the interrelated changes had been existed among sudden changes

cycles and disastrous changes in the two lakes

which be significant to the disaster pridiction. The general features of environmental change in the two lakes resembled with that of north he.misphere

that is

showing the tendency to warm slowly. But

the environmontal changes in the two lakes look place earlier than that in other regions.
