which locates at the northeastern fringe of Tibetean Plateau
is macroscopically composed of a series of cenozoic sub basins
the uplifts of Tibetean Plateau affected and controlled its formation and development. greatly The multi stepped geomorphiological structures generally existed in this basin are in fact the records of the regional geomorphiological development and the best material for physiogeographical study.Based on the latest and former studies
this paper has replenished and divided the sequence of physiogeographical periods since pliocene. The study show that this area had undergone at least about 10 stages of regional geomorphiological development
which related closely to the uplifts of Tibetean Plateau.
