We study an applying system of welding CCT diagrams based on AutoCAD and Visual Basic

combining CAD and welding techniques. The welding CCT diagrams are made into drawing blocks at the platform of AutoCAD

then they are applied with two methods

one is to be directly applied based on custom-made of AutoCAD pull-down menu; the other is to be applied by Visual Basic

using ActiveX Automation techniques of AutoCAD

and data of welding CCT are made into database

we can dynamically add the database through applying diagrams

data report can be made and printed. The realization of the system makes full use of rapidly drawing and a large number of information storage of computer

it realizes no paper transfer of information and is beneficial to both popularization and use of welding CCT diagrams.
