Abstract
Seismic behavior of rammed-earth wall under monotonic horizontal load is analyzed using Solid65 and Solid45 in the commercial finite element software ANSYS10.0. The work in the paper is to choose proper element and failure criteria from comparison between calculation and test results and to lay the foundation for the analysis on seismic behavior of wooden column and beam-adobe walls.
