the influence of welding phase change latent heat on welding numerical simulation is studied. The numerical calculation is carried out by considering the phase change latent heat and is verified by experiments.The results show that the calculated melting depth is 4.2 mm
the melting width is 8.2 mm
the experimental melting depth is 4.9 mm and the melting width is 8.2 mm. The calculated melting pool size is consistent with the actual weld morphology size.When the latent heat of phase transformation is not considered
the calculated temperature of molten pool is 2 367℃
150℃ higher than the actual temperature
the temperature of heat affected zone is 1 189℃
100℃ higher than the actual temperature
but there is little difference between the two in the cooling stage. The latent heat of phase transformation has a slight effect on the peak values of transverse and thickness residual stresses
and the difference is 7 MPa and 10 MPa
respectively.It has little effect on the peak values of longitudinal and equivalent residual stresses. The latent heat of phase transformation has obvious influence on the calculation of welding temperature field
but little influence on the calculation of welding stress field.
